THE MODERATOR: Questions for Colson Montgomery.

Q. You've been looking to hit the reset button for a minute here and talking about it often. 432 off the center field batter's eye seems like a good way to do it. Can you take us through that and what your mindset was coming into the game today?

COLSON MONTGOMERY: Yeah, it felt good. The first two pitches I don't really know what I was doing. They were fastballs right down the middle and that's kind of what I was looking for. I knew he had a good fastball, so I had to be ready. I felt ready, I felt on time with everything, and I think just the last pitch I kind of just was probably more committed to what I was trying to do. Two strikes you kind of lock in a little bit more. Especially now in the postseason stuff you want to put the ball in play, things like that. He threw a good pitch, it was a heater up and away, and I was just able to put a good swing on it.

Q. What did the game feel like? What did your first playoff game feel like? Did it feel different?

COLSON MONTGOMERY: I mean, yeah, I mean, obviously it felt, you know, a little bit different. But, I don't know, I just felt like it was just -- you know, I love playing baseball when it's just like every pitch matters, and that's kind of what I felt today. I don't know, it was really fun playing out there and especially with everyone on our team. We were all so locked in at the plate. We were sticking to our plan and our approaches, our game planning and stuff really well. I think that's what showed for us today. Looking to continue that into tomorrow.

Q. As a defense, you guys have seen that bullpen stand up in some pretty difficult situations. They got you all the way through the ball game today allowing just two. What stands out to you most about that bullpen, especially Grant Taylor taking it as long as he did in the back?

COLSON MONTGOMERY: Yeah, I mean Grant, I mean Hagen, Grant, Newc, Hicks, everyone who threw, they came out there and they did their thing. It was gritty, it was, I had all the confidence in the world in them. So it was really super cool for us to play this game. And Grant especially going out there and throwing I don't know how many pitches he did, but had all the confidence in the world that with everybody that came out there, super pumped.
