Quick Quotes
Q. Welcome back to the Home of Golf. How excited to be back at the Alfred Dunhill Links championship?
TYRRELL HATTON: It's great to be back. Always a special week for me. And playing with my dad again, we're looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather will be kind and we'll have a great week.
Q. Three-time winner of the event, and you came close to adding a fourth title last season, too. What is it you enjoy so much about this unique event?
TYRRELL HATTON: Probably what I said in the past. It's slightly more relaxed this week, which I think probably helps me out a little bit. We all know that I can get pretty frustrated on golf course. So, yeah, the fact that it's a little more chilled out serves me well.
Q. In 2024 you won with your dad as well. How special was that and how proud are you to have won at the Home of Golf with his huge influence on your career?
TYRRELL HATTON: That was really special for me. It was actually the first time that my dad had been at the DP World Tour for a win and the fact that he was playing that day, too, made it very special. A day that neither of us will forget.
Q. How excited is he to be teeing it up again this week?
TYRRELL HATTON: He'll be excited but probably more nervous. Hopefully the nerves don't get the better of him this year.
Q. And he's got some grandpa duties this week?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, slightly different how we've experienced this week over the last ten years, but it's great to have them here and should be fun.
Q. As you've alluded to, the event is a relaxed atmosphere. Does that bring out the best in you?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, and the burgers and the donuts halfway around, obviously no judgment on the fizz I can, add a nice touch to the week.
