Q. Isaac, you're on deck every time Yordan Alvarez hits. What's it like being on the front row and watching him hit and everything he was able to do this year?
ISAAC PAREDES: Incredible. I had the opportunity to watch him last year, and I had the opportunity to watch him this year, and I think it's something incredible to watch him do. When he's healthy, it's unimaginable what he can do up there.
Q. A lot of players kind of take it personally when the hitter that's hitting ahead of them either gets intentionally walked or gets pitched around. I guess because Yordan is the guy in front of you that's getting pitched around or intentionally walked, how do you feel when you see a team walk him and you get up to the plate?
ISAAC PAREDES: At first I felt bad. I felt like they were kind of disrespecting me as a hitter, but I felt as the season went on, I stopped taking it personal because Yordan is truly the greatest hitter right now in baseball so there was no reason for me to take it as a lack of respect towards myself.
Q. Because Yordan is so dangerous, do you expect that pitchers or opponents will be more cautious with him in a postseason setting, and do you feel like that adds importance to your at-bats in this series and going forward? If so, how do you approach that?
ISAAC PAREDES: Just remain calm. Just try to approach the at-bat, make the adjustment that I need, and just be prepared to be able to protect Yordan as much as I can hitting behind him.
Q. I know you've still been playing, but how are you feeling after taking the foul ball off your knee? Is it still sore? Is there any lingering effect?
ISAAC PAREDES: I feel great right now. Yesterday was -- it was very sore, and I played with whatever percentage I could -- I was able to play, but I feel like today it feels great and I'll be able to go out there and feel great about it.
Q. (In Spanish.)
ISAAC PAREDES: We're going to stay united as a team. I think the playoffs is about being united. We're just going to go out there and make the adjustment that's we need to do to be able to go out there and win a game.
Q. (In Spanish).
ISAAC PAREDES: It feels great. It feels great to accomplish my personal stats, but I think the ultimate goal was for the team to clinch a playoff spot. We're now in that position, so it's just to try to play as best as I can.
