Quick Quotes
Q. Matthieu, a remarkable Sunday here. Can you sum up today's round for us?
MATTHIEU PAVON: Yeah, it just started the best way like three on the first, and then I holed a wedge shot on No. 3. So everything was just running. I got a lot of opportunities on the end of the first nine, didn't get the putter going. And then all of a sudden on the back nine, couple great shots, putts dropping on the par-3s, very long one, and then just a beautiful shot to close the tournament.
Q. A 64, your lowest round of the week here. What really clicked out there for you today, do you think?
MATTHIEU PAVON: Well, it was just a little bit of everything. I felt like I had a chance to go low a couple times this week, and every time I was close to really do it, something was just like holding me back a little bit, like either short game or just a couple iron shots or couple drives. And today was just the perfect match.
Q. Playing in your national open is always very special, particularly with that crowd. Can you describe what this week means to you?
MATTHIEU PAVON: No, it's great. I mean, PGA TOUR is tough. I've been struggling since two years. It's really tough. So just coming here, see familiar faces, enjoy the moment, and have just some fun on the course really changed the thing, and the crowd has been unbelievable this week to me.
Q. At this stage, you're the leading French player of the week. How proud are you to finish that way?
MATTHIEU PAVON: Yeah, always proud, but I'm just proud of just the work this week. It's a course I really struggled on the last few years, and this year I finally didn't. So I'm just happy about it.
Q. And just finally, we've seen so many French players do well this week. How proud are you of where French golf is at the moment?
MATTHIEU PAVON: Yeah, I'm always proud of my fellow partners. I mean, we used to be like 10 to 15 guys on the DP Tour, which is very dense, I think, for the young history of golf in France. So I don't know, I'm really happy for them. I hope they're going to win tournaments and get on the PGA TOUR as soon as they can.
