THE MODERATOR: Welcome, everybody. Three victorious players, part of the teams on the International Team. Perhaps we'll start off with you, Nick. First game out, rookie. Just talk about that fabulous win with you and Corey first match out today.

NICK TAYLOR: Yeah, we knew we had a very difficult match. Obviously Scottie and Sam are two of the best players in the world.

Corey, he's a super reliable ball striker and player. I knew where he was going to put me, I could try to apply some pressure coming into the greens.

We just played really, really solid. We only made one mistake on 10. Other than that, I felt like we were just applying the pressure, and we were fortunate to come out on top.

THE MODERATOR: Ryan, your match with Min Woo. I know you guys are good friends. To bring it up the last, how was that match finishing there?

RYAN FOX: Yeah, it was brilliant. Min and I are great friends. We wanted to get it done for each other today. We had an epic battle with Collin and Wyndham.

I think we were 4-under through 9 and all square. Just hung in there right until 14, and I made a couple really nice ones down the stretch there on 15 and 16. Kind of got let off the hook a little bit on 17; Collin missed a relatively short one.

But a great match, and it was really cool to get my first point as well.

THE MODERATOR: Adam, the last match out with Christiaan. Had it up early, finished nice and early. Talk about how different maybe this feels, or is it similar to Canada maybe two years ago on that Friday?

ADAM SCOTT: I guess it's similar. Obviously things really went our way today. Even just in mine and Christiaan's match, I made some putts, seems like everyone had a few things go their way. This is what can happen.

Obviously it's an exciting day for us, but if we take something from Canada, it's not to celebrate too hard at this point. We're not even halfway through this tournament. So there's a long way to go, but it's a great day for our team.

Q. Adam, you've obviously been through this many times. Foursomes is tricky. It's such a unique format that you guys don't play much. The Americans have really struggled in it recently, and yet you guys play it less than they do. Any explanation for maybe why even two years ago you outdid them in that format?

ADAM SCOTT: Personally, I really enjoy the format. I think I've had better success in this format than the other. But I have to probably give credit to the support staff who work on pairings and captains and the assistants, of putting the best pairings they can out.

I don't really know the secret sauce that they have, but they've done a helluva job.

Q. Just building on that, Adam, wondering, go 5-0 two out of the last three foursome sessions, can that be explained as more than variance going your way? Do you think it is, whether it is in the pairings or the by-product of everything with the shield coming together, more stats, more everything, or is it just one of those freak things that sometimes happens?

ADAM SCOTT: Probably just sometimes happens, but if it happens again Saturday afternoon, then we can have another chat.

Q. Just for Nick, the 18th hole, both the drive and then the shot that you get to hit, you turned right after you hit the drive. Is that just in disgust with a bad shot? Did someone say something? And then to be able to redeem yourself with the approach, talk me through your shots.

NICK TAYLOR: That was just a poor swing at the wrong time. I went and peeked at what Corey was dealing with, but knowing if we just give ourselves a chance at 4, it was pretty difficult pin. We knew they were in the first cut, so it was going to be tough to hit it close.

Yeah, to redeem myself was a nice thing.

Q. Geoff was talking the other day about how the International Team has worked so hard to find a collective identity, and one of the things he said that bonds you guys is a lot of you come from a long way away to a different tour and a different country. I thought that was a cool way of putting it. I was curious how you guys feel the International Team has come together around a collective identity?

RYAN FOX: I mean, this is my first one, but I feel like it's been brilliant so far. Geoff, his communication has been great. He's got us all together really, really early, and we spend a lot of time together. I feel like we've all bought into the same idea. I feel like we can all say we're really good mates. I think when you're playing for your mates, some incredible things can happen. Yeah, from my point of view, it's been -- the team camaraderie has been amazing this week.

ADAM SCOTT: I'd just say one thing that I've always kind of observed and expressed to the guys is although we probably all come from very different backgrounds all over the world, we've all had to leave home to kind of follow our chosen path in golf. Generally we've all ended up on the PGA Tour, and we share that in common.

We've kind of left home and got out of our comfort zone and had to get comfortable somewhere else. So that is one thing we all share.

Q. I wonder if you could talk through some of your emotions on the putts on 15 and 16. It seemed like one of those classic match play moments where you were able to put pressure on the opponent by rolling in those putts and flipping what looked like could be a red point to a yellow point.

RYAN FOX: I felt pretty good over the putter. Even yesterday I hit a lot of putts that kind of ran over the edge. I had two really good feels about 15 and 16, got over the ball -- like reading the putt as well, I kind of saw it straight away.

I think sometimes in match play it's nice being the one to be able to put some pressure on. I hit two really, really good putts. I was probably glad the one on 16 hit the hole, and I think Min wanted the one coming back, but it doesn't matter now. It's amazing what can happen if you put a little bit of pressure on.

It was one of those things that I felt really good over the putter most of the day. Those were probably two of the putts that I felt good over, and it was great to see them go in, and then knocked a pretty important one in on the last as well.

Q. Nick, can you describe the shot you hit on 18 and how you felt over it?

NICK TAYLOR: We had 151. The wind was a little off the right, maybe a hair of hurt. So I would say normal conditions, I would have to step on a 9-iron, but with a bit of adrenaline, I felt like it was just a little hold 9-iron up against it. One, I wasn't sure if I could hit that close, to be honest, but it came out perfect. It was a nice feeling walking up that it was a kick-in.

Q. When did you know it was close?

NICK TAYLOR: There was about eight women by the green cheering for us (laughter).

Q. For you, Adam, do you remember the mood or the feeling when you left Montreal and then Friday after the sweep, and how much do you think Canada will be a talking point tonight?

ADAM SCOTT: I don't know. I think we have a few new faces in this team. I think we should embrace what happened here today and kind of look forward to tomorrow. From where I sit, if any of the guys were lacking belief, they should have it now going into the weekend.

Q. Just following up on that, did you feel like you guys maybe over-celebrated the 5-0 sweep last time? Will you say anything to kind of avoid that mistake again?

ADAM SCOTT: Maybe, yeah. Maybe we were a little flat Saturday. It's a big day tomorrow. There's a lot of golf to be played. Like I said at the start, we're not even halfway through this.

We can't be painting the town red in Chicago tonight. We'll leave that for Sunday.

Q. Nick, how did you spend yesterday, and what was it like having to wait an extra day when you've already waited so long?

NICK TAYLOR: I wanted to experience the first tee yesterday. I was there 20, 25 minutes early. Saw everyone tee off, got the vibes on the first tee, and then kind of went and did my routine, went and did a little practice. Me and Bezzy went and played a few holes, actually, three four holes behind the final group, and then we went and followed the last nine holes.

It was a good day to experience everything, also stayed sharp. Again, today I didn't have to hit the first tee shot. I knew that going in. We'll see kind of going forward. I know Sunday I'll be hitting that first shot. Yeah, it was just a fun day to experience all the energy and then get excited for today.

Q. There was a lot of gold on the board today, but there weren't a lot of boards. I'm just curious how you knew, or did you notice the lack of seeing boards that were filled with scores?

NICK TAYLOR: I wasn't looking for them. I felt like Corey and I really wanted to set the tone, being the first match out. I think honestly just being right in that match, going back and forth, probably set a good tone for the guys behind us that we were in it.

I heard a lot of silence probably, which is usually a good thing for us being an away match. Again, we were kind of focused on our own match, and then later on to be able to see a lot of gold was great.
