Q. Bogey-free round today. How would you assess the first two days?

TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Yeah, I've played really well, I think. I think I've hit the ball well. And today I felt like I putted much better than yesterday.

So it's like two of those days where they feel frustrating, but at the same time, played well. I'm not out of the tournament, for sure. I'd like to be closer to the lead, but happy with a lot of the golf that I've played.

Q. How much can you rely on your experiences back in the days to perform on the golf course?

TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Yeah, the course is different. There's a lot -- a lot of the holes are the same. The greens are relaid, all the greens are different. And, yeah, so it felt like a little bit of a different challenge.

I think the course is -- I think they've done amazing to get the course where it is. The rough is less penal than it has been over the years. So I think that gives opportunities to get away with some wider shots at times.

But still, it's still really tough. Still a really tough test. And there's not really many holes where there's not a demanding golf shot at some point.

So I think, yeah, understanding that, and hopefully over the weekend I can keep playing the way I have done and work my way up the leaderboard.

But it's nice being out. This is actually only the second time I've made the cut in the French Open. So that's a positive.

Q. Can you talk a little bit about the atmosphere? You are like the main attraction this week. So how does it feel being there?

TOMMY FLEETWOOD: They've been -- they've been amazing. I've always been so lucky with how great this country has been to me, and the fans here, always made a great connection. And I've had some amazing moments in my career here. So it's always lovely coming back and getting the support that the people show me.
