Q. Brandt Snedeker, the U.S. captain, you're heading into tomorrow with a 3-2 lead. What did you see from your team today?

BRANDT SNEDEKER: I saw those guys competing their asses off out there. I'm really proud of them. A session win is a session win; we're going to take it any way we can get it.

So happy for Scottie and Sam to go out there in that lead match and get that big win for us to lead us off. This is a long week. This is one session. We've got four more to go. Just proud of the way these guys started us off.

Q. Any indication of what you saw today and what you're going to tell your guys to get ready for a different format tomorrow?

BRANDT SNEDEKER: Not really. I think the message has been pretty simple all week. We've got to simplify this thing for us. These guys know what they're doing, best golfers in the world.

We're just going to get them in a position that we think they can be successful in and make sure they get plenty of rest. It's going to be a long week. Even though this is only one session so far, we've got four more to go. So there's a lot more golf coming up.
