Q. Scottie, Sam, what a match. Neither side up more than 1-up in this match. Ultimately what was the difference?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I mean, we just did our best to stay in it. I felt like both teams got off to pretty hot starts today and we cooled off a little bit off that. But Sam I felt like hit probably the shot of the match there on 14. We lost 13 to go 1-down, and then he hit one in there to a couple feet, and we were able to square the match up.

I felt like that was really a big moment for us as a team, and he stepped up when we needed him to.

Q. How special was it to team up with your good friend Scottie here and get this critical match, the first one, and make it all the way down to 18 to get the point?

SAM BURNS: Yeah, we knew it was going to be tough. These matches always seem to be close. It's a few holes here and there; it's a couple shots here and there.

I think it's always a good feeling when you've got this guy by your side. He's going to be in every hole and he's going to compete as hard as he can. We both did that today.
