Q. Ryo, such a special moment for you two to play together. What were the feelings like early for you to start the day?

RYO HISATSUNE: I was really, really nervous on the first tee shot, but being with Hideki today helped ease my nerves because he's my friend, and it got better as it went on.

Q. Hideki, this is your seventh Presidents Cup, the first time you've played with a Japanese teammate. 10 years younger than you, someone who was able to look up to you and get to this moment. How special was this as a moment for Japan today?

HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: It's been a long time. I've been waiting for another guy from Japan to come play with me, and I was really happy today.

It was kind of off to a slow start, but he picked up my slack and we were able to get the point today.

Q. Ryo, you two together, your games, what matches up for the two of your games out there in a Presidents Cup format like this in match play?

RYO HISATSUNE: Yeah, I'm shorter off the tee than Hideki, so I just tried to get the ball in the fairway and leave it up to Hideki. But we worked hard as a team today, and we got the point.
