THE MODERATOR: Long but successful day for Spain. Carla, Spain hasn't reached a semifinal since 2008. You were on that team.

CAPTAIN SUAREZ NAVARRO: Yeah, well, we are really happy. I'm really proud of all my players. They really make a really good and strong effort. This tie was tough. Was tough. Sometimes some games were really, really close.

Jessica played a really good match. She compete really good from the beginning till the end. Cristina also have a good match, fight until the end. Then the doubles, they play with passion, with full heart. That's it. We are really happy. Now we continue.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Carla, it's been a long time since Spain have been in the semifinals of this competition. Obviously the Davis Cup team in that time, the Spanish Davis Cup team, has had a lot of success. How important is this achievement for women's tennis in Spain?

CAPTAIN SUAREZ NAVARRO: Yeah, I mean, is so important, no? Is something that we always try to do it. Was long time ago. This competition is so difficult. Every tie is so tough.

Our moment is now, no? We can win today and we can still with the dream, with the goal of the Billie Jean King Cup.

But yeah, for us, for the Spanish people, the Spanish Federation, I think is one important achievement.

Q. Cristina, a very long day for you, a long few days for you. Talk us through your week and how you feel today.

CRISTINA BUCSA: I just feel it (smiling).

I try to put all my effort. I gave everything that I had on the singles game. Then on doubles, all the crowd and my team, they support me so much. I try to give my last drop of energy. I'm very happy for that winning.

Q. Sara, you are one of the most experienced members of this team. How do you help Cristina after she's had a singles defeat, to pick up and go again in the doubles match?

SARA SORRIBES TORMO: I just try to put all my energy. Of course, for me the first thing always is the person I have in my side.

Yeah, I knew that Cristina was making a really big effort, so that was the first thing for me. I was happy to play with her again. That's what I told her right before getting to the court.

Yeah, we just try to make it work, like, slowly from the beginning. But yeah, it work, and I'm very, very happy.
