GREGORIO DE LEO: Well, it was a good day. Good day to start the French Open. First time here, so it's been a really good day, yeah.

Q. You had a really strong start to your back nine, I think it was 5-under through four holes. What sort of switched after the turn?

GREGORIO DE LEO: Putter was very hot on those holes. I hit a great shot on 1, left like 9-footer, made it.

And I made, I think it was, 24-footer on 7, the second; 42 on the third for eagle; and then 42 again on the 4 for birdie.

So, yeah, putter helped me out a lot.

Q. As you mentioned, your first time here. Have you heard much coming into the event about the course and the layout?

GREGORIO DE LEO: Yeah, definitely. I watched the Ryder Cup back in 2018, and I remember some holes. They said they changed some of them, 4, 5, and 6. So it looked a little bit different. But, yeah, it was good and nice.

Q. And what will be the focus now as you look ahead to Round 2?

GREGORIO DE LEO: Well, just keep playing, keep playing as I'm doing, but focused on the tournament and try to get the best out of it.
