Q. Matt, 65. Describe the day for us.

MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, really good day. Great start to the week. And relatively stress-free, which is always nice, particularly around this golf course.

Q. Yeah, it's a tough layout, especially those last four holes. You've not been here for a little while, a few course changes. You almost have to erase your memory and try and go again once you come here.

MATT FITZPATRICK: I think so, particularly last time I played a French Open here, it was six years ago. No, longer. Sorry. Eight years ago. My game is very different from then to now.

So I think that comes with higher confidence, higher expectations. So you've just got to try and manage that, I guess.

Q. You had some year, three wins on the PGA TOUR, a number of DP World Tour events now. How are the energy levels for you at the moment?

MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, all good, all good. This is a bit more relaxed week for me, and no need to get sort of my numbers in. So it just was a better fit for the schedule, basically.
