Q. We're here at Le Golf National for what is no doubt going to be a special week for you. What does this event mean to you personally, given it's your national open and one with so much history?

MARTIN COUVRA: Yeah, I mean, for me it's important to be there. It's, I think, one of my biggest dream to win my national open. So really happy to be there. Really happy to play on this golf course because we play a lot of amateur events here with like the French team and everything. So good memories over there.

So, yeah, it means a lot, and I would love to play the tournament here.

Q. You've played a couple of Open de Frances now. How proud are you to be able to represent your country on home soil?

MARTIN COUVRA: Yeah, I mean, what I say, like when I play -- when you play as an amateur and with the French flag, it's pretty important for us. So play in France with a French crowd and some people around you, it's really special for me.

So, yeah, I love to play here, and I love to play with friends and family around.

Q. You mentioned the French crowd and the French friends. How much help will they be this week in supporting you?

MARTIN COUVRA: Should be really nice. I mean, there's some family that's coming, some friends, and even like all the French spectators is coming here.

So, yeah, I think it's going to be very nice.

Q. The course has undergone some changes in the recent years. Have you had a chance to check out those changes yet, and what do you make of the challenges of this year?

MARTIN COUVRA: Yeah, I've checked the course like maybe one month ago, so we see the course, and looks very nice. I love the change on the 4 and the 5. It's quite different, but really nice. The 5 is thought to be really difficult now.

I really like the hole 6, but the new one is still all right. Even when we play from the front tee it's going to be really, really nice.

So, yeah, looking forward to play in tournament, but it's a nice one.

Q. You have a really strong field this year. You had a top 10 finish at Nexo and then played the weekend at Wentworth. How are you feeling in your game at the moment?

MARTIN COUVRA: I mean, playing really nice. I mean, was not where I want to be, but I feel the game is pretty in shape, pretty -- some great -- yeah, great feeling on the course.

So, yeah, just keep growing and keep patient on the course, and we'll see. But, yeah, feeling all right.
