Q. 68 in difficult, swirly wind. How do you feel about that one?

JJ SPAUN: It was a very solid day. I knew it wasn't going to be easy but stayed patient out there and took what the course gave me. Ended up being a very good round today.

Q. Your debut at the BMW PGA Championship, getting used to Wentworth as a golf course. First couple days you made four bogeys on each round and today you limited it to one. What was the key?

JJ SPAUN: First two rounds were strange. I made quite a bit of birdies and quite a bit of bogeys. I didn't realize I made eight birdies and an eagle yesterday. It was just a weird round of golf. Usually my game is very steady, no mistakes, but I don't know if that's just a lack of not knowing the course the first couple of rounds and today I knew the misses and where to avoid and stuff. Today was a lot more traditional JJ golf.

Q. You were telling us earlier in the week you were disappointed not to be selected for Presidents Cup and we were disappointed on your behalf. Billy Horschel came here a few years back and said, I'm going to show you guys, come here and win this championship, and you can see what you're missing. Are you motivated by the same thing?

JJ SPAUN: Totally. It's a bummer to miss out on the team events, whether it's Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup. Definitely carrying a bit of a chip on my shoulder this week. Just do my best and try to win.

Q. You said this is a championship you always wanted to play and you watched it on TV. What would it mean to you to win tomorrow?

JJ SPAUN: It would mean a lot. I think winning outside of America would be really awesome to putt on resumé and especially my family vacation here quite a bit, so we love coming over across the pinned. To add a trophy from one of our favourite places in the world would be a really good treat.

Q. Really nice round of 68, 4-under today moves you right into contention, 12-under. How pleased were you with how you performed today?

JJ SPAUN: Very. I think I got away with some shots but also executed really well and properly on how I intended to hit the shots. Overall, I think under par kind of in the afternoon was a good score.

Q. What do you like about the course?

JJ SPAUN: Well, I think it fits my game in a way. It's very narrow around here. You have to be really precise with your tee shots. The greens are small. You have to be really on with your approach game, as well.

So you know, I just like challenging courses, and it's been a challenging course the last three days. So it's definitely a place that I really enjoy.

Q. You nearly holed out from the sand on 18. How good did that look from your perspective?

JJ SPAUN: It looked good. I knew it would probably not go in because of the speed of travel but I was actually happy, slowed it down a little bit, to make a better chance.

Q. How are you finding playing in Europe? I know you're looking at moving to more of a global schedule, and what do you think that would give you?

JJ SPAUN: I think it's great. It's such a fun opportunity to see new places, play wonderful venues, and just kind of bring your game to the rest of the world. I think with the new schedule, it's easy to kind of pick-and-choose now in the fall what I want to do. I'm going to go play a couple more in Japan and stuff like that.

I've got two young kids, as well, but we bring them with me and we make it a family trip. It's always fun. So I'm looking forward to next fall and maybe adding a couple more.
