Q. A round of 70 keeping yourself firmly in the hunt. How was it?

RYAN FOX: It was tough. The wind was so gusty. Felt like I hit a lot of decent shots that didn't end up where I thought they were going to end up. I made a couple of nice par putts to keep it going on front nine, and then when you feel like you can score on back nine, it just became hard to hit the ball close. I'm glad I snuck one in there on the last, even though I didn't hit a very good second shot. I'm still in the hunt, at least.

Q. What do you put that down to? Is that experience around here, what you learned from the previous win?

RYAN FOX: Yeah, and I mean, I generally like playing in tough conditions. It was a birdie-fest earlier. Didn't feel like a birdie-fest later on. You have to take any par is good, no matter how you get it and I was pretty accepting of that today.

Yeah, look, I'm happy with how I grounded out. I think Rors and I had a fairly similar round in that regard. Some scratchy stuff. Put together a decent score, and as I said we got a chance going into tomorrow.

Q. Talk me through that closing stretch of holes, knowing that if you want to push, you can push.

RYAN FOX: Yeah, look, it's quirky but it's great. I mean, 17, how it's playing now, I feel like it's probably the easiest it's played ever since I can remember. It's impossible to hit in the fairway. You just hit it to the right side and hopefully you can get it up-and-down.

18, you can push it a long way down that fairway if you want to. It's pretty narrow up there, and it's a pretty special shot finishing into that amphitheater. You can finish 3-3, or 7-7 if you play it badly. It's a great finishing stretch for a tournament. There's always going to be excitement, and you know, with a lead, it's quite tense. And when you're chasing, it's kind of nice to know you've got some chances.
