Q. Phenomenal play out there. How would you assess your morning's work?

ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, I'm pleased. I'm really pleased with it, actually. Early start, a quick turnaround. Took me a couple holes to kind of find the rhythm, certainly on the greens, anyway. Then I got going. Made a bunch of birdies, a few bogeys and in great shape going into the weekend.

Q. You travel everywhere. How are your energy levels?

ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, look, I feel all right but you have to really understand that it's getting late in the year. We played a big month to finish the FedExCup in the States. You want to be ready for a big event like this, too. I've had a couple of easy weeks. I felt a little under done, probably, golf-wise coming in here but at least fresh mentally, and I think that's been good for me the last couple days.

Q. America, Australia, England. Where would you say Wentworth would rank among your favourite spots when you do travel?

ADAM SCOTT: This event -- let's put the majors aside for a second -- but this certainly is kind of top three on my list outside of major championships. I think of THE PLAYERS Championship, probably the Aussie Open, and then this one is right there. It's an incredible event. The atmosphere is amazing, and the course is just a great challenge, as well.

Q. Well done backing up a low one in tricky conditions on Thursday with a really good one again on Friday morning. You must be delighted.

ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, really pleased. I played so well yesterday in those tough conditions, which is a great way to start, because it could easily go the other way and you're in for a long week or a short one if it's really bad.

Kind of lowered any expectations this morning a little bit. Feeling like it would be hard to replicate the ball-striking of yesterday. But found a few putts going in, which was helpful and had a bunch of birdies, a couple bogeys, but overall, it added up to a good score and I'm in good shape.

Q. You can see players go on streaks on the greens at this course but equally you can see people confounded by these greens. You obviously have them sized up brilliantly today.

ADAM SCOTT: It was feeling good today. Actually the first couple holes my rhythm was a little out. I made an adjustment on about my fifth green today and it went in, so I ran with that for the rest of the day.

Sometimes you just have to find that one little thing, and I'm glad I made that adjustment early. Kind of helps the rest of the game, when you feel like the putter is role, you free up the rest of the game. I was fairly relaxed out there and I feel comfortable on this golf course now.

Q. You are the epitome of a global golfer. Give us an appreciation of what this event means to you.

ADAM SCOTT: This is one of the special events in the world. We have these major championships, and of course everyone recognises them and rates them so highly but this sits very close to that level. I think there's so many things going for it from the golf course but the atmosphere that they create, the fans, the amphitheater around 18, I think it's a special, special feeling coming up there later on a Sunday. It feels like a big championship, and I'd dearly love to be in with a chance on Sunday.

Q. You've given yourself an excellent platform, obviously. What is the game plan for the weekend?

ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, more of the same, really. I think if conditions remain similar, the greens are receptive. You've got to get it in the fairway and then you can create some opportunities. Get it in the fairway first, and then I'll try and make as many birdies as I can. I have to accept a couple of errors, but I think I have to stay on the gas and on the front foot and try to make a bunch of birdies over the weekend.
