The Cliffs at Walnut Cove
Quick Quotes
Q. Closing birdies, three in a row there coming up 18.
CHRIS KIRK: Thank you. Yeah, you know, playing the course with the four reachable par-5s, was really happy to be able to take care of all four of those.
Had a nice little bonus there on 16. Made about a 20-footer; longest putt I made today.
But, yeah, just a solid day. Nice to have a finish like that.
Q. How are you approaching the fall considering being outside the top 120 in the FedExCup points at the moment?
CHRIS KIRK: Yeah, it's a position I haven't been in in a little while, but, yeah, I'm excited about it. I had a really great little break since Greensboro and worked on some stuff I felt like I needed to work on.
These fall events we go to such cool places. You know, so if I look at my schedule of obviously it's beautiful here in Asheville; St. George, Utah, is one of the prettiest places in the country, and then Bermuda, Mexico, Sea Island.
Q. Not bad.
CHRIS KIRK: It's just like, yeah, how can you not enjoy it.
Q. That's great. On Saturday, thinking about football maybe and your Bulldogs, trip to Arkansas and trying to stay undefeated? What did you think about the matchup?
CHRIS KIRK: I just keep hearing all the Arkansas fans are boycotting and not going to show up for the game, so I don't know. We'll see.
But, yeah, it'll be good to get an SEC game in. Even though Arkansas is not where they would like to be, still an SEC opponent, and so it's just another little bit better test for us to kind of see where all the players are at.
I know Kirby will make the most of it.
