Q. Matches are far from over, but can you just assess just today and where everyone's at right now?

MEGAN KHANG: You know, I wasn't too happy with my match. I ultimately wanted to get one point on the board. But Charley and I, I think we both were kind of burning a lot of edges today and unfortunately I wasn't able to sink any. But looking at the board now, I think there's a good mix in there, but I think the girls got it and I know I'm going to go out there and cheer them on.

Q. A lot of people describe you as the heart of the team. How has your energy made everyone excited, both fans and players alike?

MEGAN KHANG: I think it's a whole team atmosphere. I think all of us bring out a lot of energy in each other. I think my personality's just a little more extroverted in general, so it's something that I just do naturally a little more. But you're seeing a lot of personality come out. You're seeing a lot of chants, a lot of screaming, yells. We're seeing some epic putts being made. I think it's just made us all a lot closer and it's a lot easier to celebrate.

You can tell in my voice. I'm losing it a little bit. I don't even want to know what it sounds like. But overall, I think the girls, the entire team, assistant captains, captains are doing a great job of sticking together, and with each match being done -- as each match finishes, we're all going to keep going out there and cheering on the rest of the girls who are still playing.

Q. The rookies have said you've really gone out of your way to be kind and get them excited for the week. Talk a little bit about the rookies this week.

MEGAN KHANG: They have been great. I feel like they don't play like rookies out here. I think Auston has been a fantastic addition, and Lindy as well. I think Lindy's got some nerves of steel out here and Auston as well, bombing it by people. And I've had so much fun getting to know them a lot better. I think golf's such an individual sport that when you have, I guess, weeks like this it's really nice to embrace each other and have each other's backs for once every two years. And, you know, I think all of us have been a lot more welcoming and stuff like that. It's not often you only have two rookies on a team. But I think, again, we all jell really well and I think everyone's being the best partner and teammate they can be.
