TV Interview
Q. Carlota, what is it about the Solheim Cup that provides those moments?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: I love this week. I just love playing for the team, for my teammates. Anna is a good friend of mine, so I just want to win for her. So I've been playing alongside Julia, my good Spanish friend. It's been amazing. We had a tough match against Nelly and Lauren, very consistent, but we fought hard and at least we got half a point, which I think is really important.
Q. We knew this match was going to be good when we saw it come out. Your first time in a Solheim Cup, really. Can you explain what happened and sum up what this has been like today?
JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: Honestly, it's been amazing. Honestly, having her next to me all the way, it's been what keeps me calm and keeps me present every day. So I think that was very helpful and I thought I enjoyed it a lot. I love playing against a big crowd and against the United States, so I'm just grateful to be here next to this one.
Q. Carlota, how important do you feel that putt is and that halve point is going up against Nelly Korda and managing to sneak something?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah I think not losing today is important. I think obviously that half a point, I think it's 4-4 for the day, so I think that's, yeah, that's how usually a big momentum going into tomorrow, so hopefully they can, yeah, we can take that into tomorrow foursomes and win both morning and afternoon sides.
Q. You two together again, would you like to see that?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: I don't know. I mean, I would love to keep playing with her. I think we have a great energy. I love playing with my Spanish friends, so whatever the captain want us to do, we'll do that.
