TV Interview
Q. Angela, obviously 2-2 after the first session. Strong performance from Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz. What you were your thoughts on the matches this morning?
ANGELA STANFORD: Yeah, really happy with it. First session out away from home, two points on the board, really happy with the way we played. Really like what we did out there. We fought until the end the last two matches. So, yeah, like where we are.
Q. Angel Yin has not played a lot of golf this summer, has had the illness. She played the FM Championship, didn't play great there, has come over here to represent her country. What has she shown you that says she's ready to play in the Solheim Cup?
ANGELA STANFORD: Well, I mean, she's certainly worked her tail off to try to get ready. She played 18 holes almost every day until Thursday. She just kept saying, I need reps, I need reps. And we knew where she was coming into this event, and she's worked hard. I think that what also helps, she's a bit of a wild card right now, so I like it. I told her, I said, Hey, do what you do best, and that's fight. So let's go see what happens.
Q. Is this sticking to the game plan, your pairings for this afternoon, and what is that game plan?
ANGELA STANFORD: Yeah, I mean, so far we're doing everything we set out to do today. We rearranged some just to give some people some rest. Gave Allisen Corpuz and Nelly the option if they wanted to go 3, 4. I was happy, you know, one of 'em, they could have interchanged, it was okay. But I like how we rolled it out this afternoon.
