Q. Another red point on the board. How satisfying, especially in some ugly conditions over the last hour or so?

LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, I feel like we played super well today, pretty stress-free overall in alt shot is always nice. Happy to get another point on the board and look forward to rooting on my teammates.

Q. Turned the screw on the back nine as well. How solid did this partnership feel for you?

ALISON LEE: It was great. This is the first time we're paired together in the Solheim Cup. I feel like this whole morning we just played super consistent. We just kept it in the fairway, kept it on the greens, gave each other birdie chances when we could. I'm just really happy with how we performed.

Q. When you look at the history of the Solheim Cup, what's the significance of getting a hot start in this opening session?

LAUREN COUGHLIN: I'm sure it doesn't hurt, but there's still a lot of golf to be played. But again, we're just going to keep doing what we've been doing and try to put up as many points as we can.
