Q. Very happy couple of Swedes here with the first point on the board for Europe. Maja, about that front nine and how well you two played, I think you were 4-under par in foursomes, which is pretty good over nine holes. What was the inspiration to play so well early?

MAJA STARK: I don't know, I think we're just pretty decent players and that helps. That makes it a lot easier. I mean it feels like we hit good shots from the start and it's always nice to come off hot like that.

Q. I've got to ask you about No. 9 and that bunker shot. I mean, it looked like it was really in your favor when that went in.

LINN GRANT: Yeah, truly. It was, like, a really good shot and, obviously, the three shots before that wasn't very great. But I looked at my Maja, and I said, Well, if I played a single and made a par like that, I would just be very happy with myself, so just very fun.

Q. You two go back a long way, back to winning the Sunningdale foursomes together in your amateur days. What is it that makes you such a good pair together?

MAJA STARK: I think that we're just so calm. If someone messes up, we don't stress out. We said it's kind of easier to play in a pair because you never think, Oh, that's a hard shot that this person has here. You're just like, Oh, she's great. She's a great player. Like, that's not hard at all. So it feels like you take so much pressure off of yourself. And obviously, we want to play well for each other, but we know that we can't force it. And also, it's pretty fun.

Q. What do you think, Linn? What are your thoughts on that?

LINN GRANT: No, we had a great time. I told Maja this morning on the first tee, since I didn't hit the first shot, I was just so calm and collected and I really enjoyed my time and I just told her, like, Let's just go out and have a really fun day and just try to do our best and hopefully we'll get into some kind of zone.
