Quick Quotes
Q. A speedy start, 5-under after two rounds. What did you make of your Friday?
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, very happy. Obviously the conditions aren't as difficult as they were yesterday. Yeah, some tricky pins out there, and nice to sort of take advantage of the start again and hold on for the rest of the round.
Q. You mentioned the change in conditions, how much more enjoyable was it to not have to battle the elements out there today?
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, it was much more enjoyable. It was -- obviously it took about an hour less to play. Yeah, not quite as stressful. I felt yesterday that you could have a big number at literally any point of the round. Today you sort of knew that the holes were gettable and a number of holes that were kind of tricky but not as stressful as yesterday.
Q. How many more opportunities were there out there today?
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, I feel like, I mean, most of the holes you could get a birdie on. But, yeah, again it's still tricky. The wind, there's still wind there, and obviously it's not as warm as what we're used to playing, so the ball doesn't go quite as far. There's still a lot of calculations to make and sort of figure it out.
Q. You put yourself in a nice position heading into the weekend at your National Open, how good a prospect does that feel?
TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, it's exciting. I sort of never really had a chance the last couple I played. So to go into the weekend there or thereabouts will certainly be fun.
