Pit Lane Interview
Q. I know it wasn't the finish you were looking for. What was missing there at the end?
TYLER REDDICK: Yeah, you know, we just had a little hiccup there on the left run and under, one of those green flag cycles there's in stage two. The guys did a great job catching it, and that could have been catastrophic, obviously. Especially being the first pit stall. There's nowhere else to go to catch that.
So good job by the boys to, you know, not make a mistake much, much worse. Just lost a little bit of track position there kind of at a critical time. I think for us just, you know, I thought where our car went was more so because of where we were track-position-wise, and just fell a bit behind there.
We got it where it needed to be there that final restart, but just the way things kind of weren't, were not for us says, if you will. Thought we were going to have a long run before we had the red, and we lost some track position there, too.
It was a little tough at the end, but we kind of know, I think, where we need to be at the end of this race in years to come. So yeah, it's great to come here and lead laps. Good chase. Good day for the Chase. But, yeah, really want to win this race bad. One day we will.
Q. I thought I heard a little frustration at the end there. We just didn't lose a Chase race. We didn't win the Southern 500.
TYLER REDDICK: Yeah, it's good to be in contention every year, but, you know, thankfully we did win the spring race or I would be devastated right now.
Yeah, you know, great points day, big picture for us, but I really want to win this race bad. I really do.
