Q. Catherine, congrats on an amazing week. Obviously not the result you wanted, but how are you feeling after a good championship match?

CATHERINE McEVOY: Just overwhelmed again. It was a true honor to be able to make it to the final and play against Ivy. She played phenomenal today.

Just having this experience is something that I'll definitely remember for a lifetime.

Q. What are you looking to take with you that you maybe learned out there today as you move forward throughout your career?

CATHERINE McEVOY: Yeah, I would say I had really tough matches the whole week, so I learned that I just had to stay strong, never give up. I was down in a handful of my matches and was able to come back.

I think just takeaway for myself is no matter what position I'm in I can come back, and staying strong mentally is really important.

Q. Exempt into next year as Women's Amateur at Pinehurst. What does that mean to you? How does that make you feel?

CATHERINE McEVOY: Yeah, being exempt is definitely nice. Takes a little bit of stress off for sure. I haven't been down to Pinehurst since I played in the North South Junior, so it's been a while.

But really looking forward to getting back down there and competing against some the best girls.

Q. Is it going to be hard to go back to the day job after a week like this?

CATHERINE McEVOY: We'll see. Work has been great with my flexibility and being able to be out here for the whole week. See how much I missed and get back to it.
