U.S. SENIOR AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

September 2, 2026

Corby Segal

Lutherville, Maryland, USA

Baltimore Country Club (East Course)

Quick Quotes

Q. Corby, what a fantastic week you've had in your debut. I know we kind of talked about it, but what has been the best part of this championship?

CORBY SEGAL: Yeah, the best part has been having my son Dallas here with me to experience this and to see it firsthand with tournament golf at the highest level of amateur golf.

When you get down to age, you know, you got your U.S. Amateurs, Mid Ams, you got your Seniors now, and this is where -- I mean, you don't always have to play your best, but you got to play really well in stroke play to get into match play.

And then match play is a different animal. You don't have to have your best but you got to play solid. I played solid to a point; I didn't have my best with putting which is best part of my game, which is disappointing for me to think about.

But I can say I did not quit. I can thank my son for that.

Q. And kind of looking forward to the next couple years, you do you have exemptions now into the next two U.S. Senior Ams. Do you think you'll keep the same caddie or what are you looking forward to?

CORBY SEGAL: If I'm not working and I can play, he's coming. (Laughter.)

So I think everybody knows I work -- right now I'm working for Charlie Wi on the Senior Tour, and it all comes down to if I can be there to play the tournament. I'm in, but my work is just as important and provides for my family, so the golf part comes second. So if I can play, I can play. If I play, Dallas is coming.

Q. And finally: You got to hang out with Tim Hogarth a lot this week. I know couple other Southern California people.

CORBY SEGAL: Uh-huh.

Q. How special has it been just hanging out with people you've known for so many years?

CORBY SEGAL: It's just great to represent California, the SCGA. They've done an amazing job for all of us from Southern California for years.

I don't get to play in enough tournaments, but when I play, I feel like I represent Southern California well.

I appreciate Matt Pawlak and Jimmy (Becker) and all the guys, and they take care of us well. So it's just great.
