Q. All right, congrats on a well-played week. What are the positives you'll take away from this experience in your first U.S. Women's Mid Am?

VANESSA WANG: I mean, there are so many positives. Where do I even start? I mean, just being out here has been super fun. This golf course is pure. I don't even know. I'm kind of like speechless right now.

I had a fun week. My teammates were out here. Was able to see them. Made new friends. Saw some family this weekend.

Yeah, I hadn't competed pretty much until this summer from the time I graduated until now, so it's been three years. So it was cool to put my game to the best again at a level like this, so it was fun. Yeah, a lot of fun.

Q. As a semifinalist you're exempt into the next two. What are your thoughts knowing that, knowing you don't have to qualify to get back here, you have a shot in the next two?

VANESSA WANG: I did not know I had the next two. I thought it was just one. So that's awesome.

Q. Yep.

VANESSA WANG: Yeah, I'm a golf coach so I got to put it on the books now. Yeah, looking forward to it for sure.
