Q. Chris, good to see you. I know you had a long week in Atlanta, but I'm sure you're excited about being a part of Brandt's team. What was that phone call like, getting it from Brandt?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, it was awesome. Obviously to be a part of the team is something I've been looking forward to all year and working hard to be here. Yeah, to hear it from Sneds' mouth was a good feeling compared to last year when I got the no call. So I'm pumped to be part of the team.

Q. Brandt, his admission, he's had a phenomenal 2026. Was this an easy pick for you?

BRANDT SNEDEKER: Pretty easy. It's about as easy as it gets. Chris won three times this year. What he brings to our team not only on the golf course but in a team room, and how much these guys love being around this kid, just excited to get him out there in a Team USA uniform and out there hitting drivers for us.

Q. Chris, you're going to be part of a team and this is your first chance to be on the team wearing the red, white, and blue. What do you hope to contribute on and off the golf course?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: Yeah, I think this year has been important for me, one, just proving to myself that I can get it done under the gun, which you're going to need to do out there, but just getting friendly with the guys that I haven't been friendly with in the past has been a huge part of it for me.

I'm excited to get in the team room, and I'm sure make fun of them, make fun of me. It will be a good time.

Q. Team room is always fun. As I mentioned, you closed out the season with top five finishes at the BMW Championship and also at East Lake for the TOUR Championship. How much momentum do you feel like you have with your game right now?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: I feel good with what I'm doing. Obviously to finish off the playoffs like that was a huge boost of confidence. I didn't finish them off how I wanted to last year.

Yeah, going into some practice sessions and obviously the Presidents Cup will be a lot of fun, and getting down and hanging out with the guys and practicing beforehand will be beneficial as well.
