Q. Everything else going on around you, but it's over. About an hour and a half now since you posted your 63, but you can now call yourself the winner of the Husqvarna British Masters. I imagine it's been worth the wait.

JOE DEAN: Yes, absolutely. All those painful hours and all the work I put in this, it's finally led to something. Yeah, I'm happy, really.

Q. A first win, but also a fairytale win. Just a couple of years ago, you were driving supermarket delivery trucks to try and get the money together to be able to afford to get out and play on Tour. Do those days now feel a long time ago?

JOE DEAN: No, not really. I still see the guys every now and then. Yeah, I enjoyed it for most of the time. Yeah, it's just a completely different life, completely different lifestyle.

I still see the vans going up-and-down the road every now and then, so yeah, keep in touch.

Q. But now you're a winner on the DP World Tour. Things are going to look quite different for you. Also, your new wife Emily, got married about a month ago, she was carrying the bag for you today. I hope that winner's check is going into the joint account today.

JOE DEAN: If I'm being honest, I don't know where it's going. She knows everything.

Yeah, I can't thank her enough for what she has to put up with with me. It was bad enough off the course and the lows and stuff like that, but now on the course and off the course.

Yeah, I hope I made it -- I hope I made her proud. I don't know. I'm at a loss for words. I think we're both just really happy and a bit rabbit in the headlights at the minute.

Q. How important has she been to your success and giving you confidence as well? You've spoken in the past of a lack of confidence. That must be changing now surely.

JOE DEAN: Yeah, today was one of the rare days where everything just felt right and the putts were dropping. Almost like I couldn't do anything wrong, isn't it? We saw a glimpse of that over the past two, three months, but it kind of faded by back nine or it faded after a few holes.

Yeah, to finally get through the entire round and feel good about it is really nice, yeah.

Q. Your first win comes on home soil at the Husqvarna British Masters, following the footsteps of legends like Sir Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Justin Rose, Ian Woosnam. How does that feel?

JOE DEAN: I think it's going to be a bit surreal. I don't think I'll take it in for quite a while to see my name next to some of those legends of the game. Yeah, just like I said, just overwhelmed at the minute.

Yeah, it's been great. Like I said, it's nice to have my family, and the Belfry for hosting it again. It's been fantastic.

Angus, the head greenskeeper, did a fantastic job. At one point this week we were looking at 36 holes played, that's what we were thinking. So to the tournament staff and the greens staff, to get 72 holes this week has been amazing.
