Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Sei Young Kim after the third round of the FM Championship. Sei Young, can you just talk about what stuck out in your game today, what you felt like really went well?

SEI YOUNG KIM: I mean, yesterday after finish the round I kind of little emotional because I had good feels like after first round, but little disappointed with 2-over.

I keep think about it, how to play better, and then, yeah, I think my emotional is got the booster. Birdie, make three in a row and play better today. Yeah, a little more emotional today. It kind of helps today, like positive way, yeah.

Q. And what happened in yesterday's round, do you think?

SEI YOUNG KIM: I mean, play afternoon greens are totally different. It's tough to make the up-and-down.

Yeah, I mean, get used to, I mean, distance; I play better today. Maybe five yard, ten yard short of the pin; that would be helpful.

Because last week the Canada and then first round early mornings are very soft. I can attack the pin automatically.

So if I play like that, yesterday, and today it's not good, so I try to, yeah, a little bit adjustment.

Q. You're saying today you came out with that burst of energy. Do you feel like you were able to hold that throughout the entire day today?

SEI YOUNG KIM: Yeah, I think so, yeah.

Q. You mentioned the emotions getting the better of you yesterday.

SEI YOUNG KIM: Yeah.

Q. What did you do to change that, or did you get any advice from a coach or anybody that might sort of settled you down?

SEI YOUNG KIM: I just feel uncomfortable yesterday so I couldn't sleep well. So, yeah, just uncomfortable.

And then, I don't know, but that kind of help to keep like the grind myself sometimes.

So, yeah, today maybe little comfortable, yeah. It'll be good sleep. Yeah, hopefully.

Q. To make a big leap on the leaderboard like you did today, I think you jumped like seven or eight spots or something like that, what does that do for your confidence heading into tomorrow, the final day knowing you can make that big leap?

SEI YOUNG KIM: I just play -- last couple tournament I had a good chance to win but I couldn't make it. I don't want to that happen the game, but I don't know. Just play well.

That's the best ways. I just focus every single shot and keep make a lot of birdie. Whoever play better, doesn't matter. I just keep a lot of making birdie, yeah.

Q. When you are heading into the final day with sort of a chance to win or chance to finish in the top, does that added pressure help you? Does it improve your game?

SEI YOUNG KIM: Yeah, but I can't say -- I cannot say yeah for sure, but it's tough to handle under the pressure.

But if you want to win you have to overcome that happens. It's not easy. But, yeah, I try to overcome tomorrow.

Q. What is your caddie telling you on the final round Sundays that you are in contention?

SEI YOUNG KIM: He always just not talking too much. He just, are you okay? You going to be okay. That's it. Even he's not talking much, but he's a vibe kind of very help me a lot. He's a chill person, yeah.

Q. And lastly, Karen asked you if you feel like you're playing your best golf right now. What does that mean when you have a career that's been over ten years out here on the LPGA that now you're playing some of your best golf?

SEI YOUNG KIM: It means a lot. Time goes by so fast. I feel like already over the 30 years, so now feels like competitor, player are all very young. Very young.

I used to I play with the older sister, so, yeah, it feels different, but I feel like still I'm lucky, yeah. I just want to do something. I want to play better. I'm still like passionable. Yeah, that's the different.
