Q. Quite a remarkable round of golf, I would say, starting off with that extraordinary eagle on the 10th, and then that run of birdies at the start of the front nine, your back nine, and then the bogey to finish. There's something for everyone in that.

MARCO PENGE: Yeah, it was a bit of a pretty typical me to have a roller coaster sort of round of golf. Luckily this one was on the right side of par.

Yeah, great start with obviously that eagle on 10 and a good shot into 12. Missed one from six feet to be 3-under through three. Chucked in a nice toe ball out of bounds and then I birdied my second ball. Then kind of just went on from there really.

Yeah, it was a bit of a change to start yesterday. I felt I was really trying to charge. I don't know if I still hold my own, the course record here, but I was trying to beat that. Then I come out this morning and the rain is about to start.

Q. Was that tricky to restart and rediscover what was working so well for you yesterday?

MARCO PENGE: I think especially on the holes I stopped on, like 6, 7, 8, 9, probably the hardest four holes on the golf course. There's a lot of danger about. Obviously when you're starting your round, you don't have much evidence of what you've got for the day until we kind of find out.

Yeah, I hit a good tee shot down 6, which is the main one where you can make the score, so I got it out of the way pretty quick. Yeah, didn't swing it great coming in, though.

Q. When you know the course as well as you do and you know it's the hardest stretch and you're coming out on that to start, does that play in the back of your mind?

MARCO PENGE: A little bit. I think everyone will know in the field you get through that stretch, 6, 7, 8, 9, you make four pars there and you'll be gaining quite a lot on the field.

Especially with this wind direction, 8 and 9 are into the wind. If you're not in play off the tee around this golf course, it can be tough, especially on those holes.

Q. You now get to go in and keep warm and dry. Everybody else seems to be going back out into the rain, everyone else here behind us on putting green. How pleased are you that you've got most of the day to stay dry and refocus and get ready for round 3?

MARCO PENGE: Yeah, nice. Obviously they had a nice stretch after their long day on Thursday. Us guys on this side of the draw had a long day yesterday and up early today.

Yeah, I think it would be nice to be up and maybe get back into bed for a couple of hours and watch the football. Early kickoff, not sure who's on, but yeah, look forward to that.
