Q. All right, here now with Allisen Corpuz after a very solid bogey-free for you today. What does it take to go bogey-free on this course?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think this is a course that I've just come to and it looks good to my eye. I've been hitting the ball really well and putting myself in the right spots; even when I missed had a good look at a good up and down for par.

I think this course is just one you just stay patient and you'll get the opportunities as they come. Yeah, me and Jay just did a good job of, yeah, staying patient. Especially the wind picked up a bit when at the started the round.

So, yeah, it's just a course that's kind of always looked good to me and I'm really excited for the weekend.

Q. 12 birdies for you so far. What makes this course so scorable as well?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, seven is a reachable par-5 and I believe 12 is as well for the longer players. A few tucked pins out there. I feel like we saw a lot of three and four paces from the edge of the green.

But I think there is a really healthy mix of a few longer fours and a few shorter ones. I think any time you have a wedge into a par-4 or a par-5 it's just always going to be a good look at birdie.

Q. Kind of the key theme I've seen from some of the players towards the top of the players is high level of greens in regulation. Is that the key to success out there?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, absolutely. Rough is definitely really thick, so I think fairways are pretty important as well.

Q. Obviously playing a little bit freer having Solheim Cup of your back. Does that show up in your game in terms of just being able to relax and really settle in out there?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't say I wasn't stressed at all about Solheim Cup, but I think I've always been of the mindset of I'll just focus my game, and if it happens, it happens. If not, great.

I wouldn't necessarily say any freer, but definitely would love to get some momentum going into, you know, two weeks from now. Going to be on the first tee soon. Yeah, really excited for it.

Q. What was your reaction when Ang was there? You seemed a little bit surprised. She tried to slow play it, but I think you already knew.

ALLISEN CORPUZ: I had actually seen a tweet from Grant, and so -- and I kind of knew where I stood going into the week as well.

Yeah, we had been talking about something else so I thought it was news about that, and she started out with I think it's like, hard to tell you this, something like that, so I was like, where is this going? I'm not sure it's a good thing or a bad thing.

And then obviously she said, welcome to the team. Yeah, really excited.

Q. You're one of quite a few now that remember that Cup in Spain. How hungry are you to play for the Solheim Cup team again and get the Cup back home with you guys?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I love playing with almost a chip on my shoulder, and I feel like as nice as it was to be in D.C. where everyone is rooting for you, there is also a big part of me that wants to go to Europe and get it done there as well where obviously we're the team that no one is rooting for over there.

No, I mean, Spain was so tough, right? You really talk about how close some of these matches get, and for it to then end in a tie for the overall points and Europe retains, that was really tough.

I remember one of the assistant captains was just like, hey, remember this feeling. Sucks to lose; let's come back next time and win, and we did that.

So really looking forward to having the chance to win it again overseas.

Q. What doesn't suck are Friday 67s. How do you build on this going into the weekend?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, ball striking has been really solid this week. It's something that's been good, bad throughout the season. Like I said, this course has always looked really good for me. I felt really comfortable over the ball, and, yeah, just go into the weekend and try to roll in a few more putts.
