Q. Collin, put yourself right in contention second week in a row. How's the game feel particularly to this week?

COLLIN MORIKAWA: Very similar. The putting feels great, which is good considering it's different surfaces from last week to this week. That was kind of a big focus of mine.

I just have to find a few more fairways. The cut's not quite cutting, and it really hasn't been off the tee as much. When you can play out of the fairways on this golf course, you can score, and you can have some good wedge shots where it kind of stops on a dime.

So I just need to find that and tighten it up, and we'll see how everything plays out.

Q. Look at your putting stats just recently, a lot of consistent weeks, slightly above average, just kind of putting it in. Are you practicing a little bit more because you can't do as much with your back at all?

COLLIN MORIKAWA: Nope. Nope. I'm telling you, I had a great talk at TGL with Tiger, Kis -- I probably should give most of the credit to Kis. I don't want to, but he deserves it -- and Max. It just stuck with me. It was very simple.

I parted ways with Stephen Sweeney earlier this year, and I felt like I got a lot of knowledge of what I need to do, but I just needed to find something that stuck week in and week out. I feel like I kind of found something. You just watch my warmup, it's very, very simple, I'm not doing much, but I'm kind of incorporating things here and there that I've learned throughout the year.

It's very, very simple right now. I'm trusting my stroke. The putter feels great. It's nice when you feel like you can start them on line and you're seeing the lines. Hopefully I can continue that the next two.

Q. Just given the challenges that this year has presented, if you were to win this, how would you kind of view the season as a whole?

COLLIN MORIKAWA: Yeah, really solid. Look, I've gone seasons here and there throughout my career now where I haven't won, and being able to complete the season even if I don't win this week, still going to have that win. But it would be nice to get back on the multi-win season.

Look, there's one goal in mind with two rounds left. It is a stacked leaderboard. We saw Cam, what he did today, or we all saw it before we even teed off. It's going to be out there. I don't know what the weather is going to be like the next two days, but there's going to be someone who's going to be taking it low every single day. It's just how do you build off of that?

Tomorrow moving day. Hopefully we can make a bigger move.

Q. Is there any expectation as far as scoring goes? I know you expected someone to go low one or both of the rounds, but for yourself, is there anything big you're looking at?

COLLIN MORIKAWA: I was trying to get to double digits today. Just the way I was kind of driving it, I didn't have the opportunity to. I made some great par saves, hit some great shots out of the rough, like I said. Happy with how the 3-under ended up being considering the places I was today.

Q. Going back to last week, how big was it to come through with the Presidents Cup auto pick on the line?

COLLIN MORIKAWA: It was huge. I think Sneds probably texted a bunch of us that dinner, but only if you're top six.

Look, I've been on both sides of it, and when you earn that spot, no one can take it away from you no matter how you're playing. So it mattered. Even if I felt like I was potentially going to be on the team, it's like you never know, right? You don't want to leave it up to that.

I remember talking to Sneds last year about just earning those six, and I think it stuck with me all year. It was on my mind especially -- I saw some rankings through like two rounds, and I was kind of getting booted out and got into gear.

This week, it doesn't take the pressure off of it necessarily, but it's a good feeling.
