Q. All right, here with Morgane Metraux after her second round here at the FM Championship. Really solid bogey-free round from you today, including an eagle on two. What was working so well for you?

MORGANE METRAUX: I think multiple things. I think I drove the ball really well. I hit I don't know how many fairways, but pretty much all of them I think, or close to that.

Then I hit some really solid iron shots. I was playing conservative when I had to. Some of the pins out there are pretty tough, especially on the back nine, so I was playing conservative when I needed to. Just two putted from distance, and then when it was a green light flag, I was able to attack really well.

I just missed like three greens I think. One was just barely off and then I made an up and down into two others. So kept it mistake-free.

Q. Yeah. Take us through the eagle on two.

MORGANE METRAUX: Yeah, I hit a really good drive. It's pretty tight off that tee to hit the right angle. Then I had a 9-wood. I hit a really good shot to about -- let me remember -- like 20-ish feet and rolled the putt in.

Yeah, really good three shots together.

Q. What's been the key to success to scoring on this course?

MORGANE METRAUX: I think keeping it in play off the tee is a big one. The rough, if you're just off, can be really gnarly. If you're a little bit further out I think it gets a bit drier and it's a little bit easier, bu then obviously angles and stuff.

So I think keeping it on the fairways and then attacking when you can, but staying a little bit away from the pin when that's needed.

So a little bit of driving and course management.

Q. You've only had the one double in your first round. What has been the key to keeping yourself out of those bogey situations?

MORGANE METRAUX: Yeah, just hitting a lot of greens honestly. And then when I missed, I missed in the spots, so it was relatively easy up and downs. And then I putted well when I needed to. The double was a bit unfortunate actually, but the wind was a lot stronger than I expected and it just caught my ball and went in the water.

It wasn't even a bad shot, so I feel like I'm playing well.

Q. Yeah. How do you carry the momentum into the weekend?

MORGANE METRAUX: Yeah, just doing the same thing. Going to go back to the range and hit a few shots, get the right feels going, and try to have the same mindset tomorrow: fairways, greens, and try to make some putts.
