Q. All right, joined by Ronni Yin after her second round at the FM Championship. Really great finish for you. Bogey-free on the back nine. What were some of the differences you saw on the front and the back?

RUONING YIN: I mean, I think back nine -- I don't know. I feel like they're similar, but I think front nine is a little bit more straightforward and back nine I got to hit my 3-wood for tee shots sometimes.

But today, I mean, I've been hitting good. Yesterday I think I didn't do anything wrong but the score just wasn't good. Today I just think I hit 18 greens today, so I've been hitting well.

My putting goes in and just it's just a good round.

Q. Yeah. And then obviously this course, we're seeing a lot of scores. What is it about this course that's so scorable?

RUONING YIN: I think the green is a little soft. I don't know. This year is my first year play this tournament and people has been saying the green was really, really firm last year.

But I think this year it's pretty soft and you can stop the ball pretty quickly and it's not that long and there is two par-5s I think is reachable, so, yeah.

Q. And then, yeah, had a ton of birdies today; eight birdies on the card. What were you doing to put yourself in those scoring positions?

RUONING YIN: I had a bet with my coach. (Laughter.) Because he told me he's going to leave tomorrow morning, and then yesterday when I finish he said, unless you finish 7-under today. I'll stay for the weekend.

I was like, okay, here we go.

Q. You finished eight.

RUONING YIN: And yeah, then I know my game is in a right spot. I think I've been chasing the win for a little bit but my coach told me at the beginning of the week, he was just like, your game is right there. You just need to be a little bit more patient.

Q. Your group had a pretty significant crowd following you the whole day. What does that do for your game when you have so many people? Is it more pressure when you have so many people following you or is it more fun to perform in front of them?

RUONING YIN: I would love people to come watch me, but I think 99% is probably for Nelly. I do have some Chinese fans rooting for me, which give me more motivation.

Yeah, I mean, the crowd is amazing this week. We tee off early today but still there is a big amount of people come out to watch. It just feels great.

Q. It seems like that was sort of an unexpected number of people to be following you. Like it's a Friday. It's the middle the week. Was that a surprise to you to have that many people?

RUONING YIN: Yeah, definitely surprised me because I was telling my caddie, Dave, on I don't know which hole, but I was like, it's a lot of the people for Friday.

Q. Did you have any favorite interactions with the fans while you were out there? Anyone cheer for you especially loudly?

RUONING YIN: I'm sorry?

Q. Did you have any favorite moments with the fans? Did you like high five anybody or have anyone cheer for you?

RUONING YIN: I do like those little kids. Just try to high five, and just those moments are my favorite.

Q. With your early tee time today now you have the rest of the day to do what you need to do. What does that day look like what does tomorrow look like in order to get that from today going into tomorrow?

RUONING YIN: I think I will likely get a late tee times for tomorrow, and my mom really want to see the city, so we might go to just probably downtown Boston just to wander around.
