Patty Tavatanakit

Boston, Massachusetts, USA

TPC Boston

Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Patty T after the second round of the FM Championship championship. 4-under today. What stuck out to you?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: I've just been hitting solid like the past two days. Really I felt like I left a lot out there in terms of scoring, but we're in a good spot. I'm happy with where my game is at. I'm not complain too much.

But other than that, I'm just going to try to have fun for the next two days.

Q. Talk about the eagle on two, how far you had in and what club you used.

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I think I had what, 168 in. I actually had a brain fart moment. I grabbed like my 7-iron with the water in it front and that club was going to be short, and then I was like, what am I doing? Let's hit a six.

So I hit a six. It went about maybe 40 feet past the hole and I just drained it. I was like oh, finally a putt dropped.

Q. You fixed the brain fart, right?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yes.

Q. How did the course compare today to yesterday? You said it might have ran out a little bit more?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, the greens felt -- the greens felt a little bit more like firm than yesterday, but then there are some parts that were receptive as well for like shorter irons.

So I would say overall it's playing good. I mean, the fairways are firming up, so I can imagine the weekend will be in a perfect condition.

Q. Yeah. What do you think someone has to have going in their game to win on this course in particular? What are the keys?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I think it's a pretty well rounded course. I would say like tee shots, approach, and then I think putting. Like I think you have to be really hot with your putter to win out here on the weekend.

And other than that, I feel like just managing yourself and the course, because it's going to get tough. You're going to run into like some stretches where like you feel like there is nothing going on for you.

So you just got to really stay strong, stay put, and just keep pushing.
