TOM McKIBBIN: One good round of golf, and played nicely both attempts we went out there. Very happy with the score. I've never played great around here. So nice to shoot a nice number.

I haven't slept of the last couple of days, and these early starts haven't helped, either. Just very pleased to go out and have a nice first round and continue that.

Q. What's been the challenge here in the past that you haven't been able to master?

TOM McKIBBIN: I've struggle the off the tee and on the green before. In the past, it's been a little bit windier than this, and some of the tee boxes are quite sheltered and the ball tends to move quite a bit. I started to feel like -- I skipped last year, and I thought hopefully, if I come back, I'll play well at some point.

Q. Obviously first event, Ryder Cup qualification, that's definitely on your agenda going forward. So to get off to a fast start here would be nice.

TOM McKIBBIN: Absolutely. Now obviously the points start, and I've got a nice sort of run towards the end of the year and hopefully can play as much as I can, and hopefully play good in most of them and hopefully rack up some points.

Q. If you could play in a Ryder Cup, close to home?

TOM McKIBBIN: Yeah, that would be pretty special, to play one in Ireland would be a bucket list thing to do, probably. Yeah, I'll definitely give it my best shot.
