Q. Congrats, well played. I think this is your seventh straight year here. You know what it takes to win the FedExCup. What is it about this place that brings out the good vibes in you?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: I don't know. I think it's just the fact that it's the season-ending event. I'm always a guy that likes to think long term and processes and all that stuff. That's how I find motivation to keep working and see trends over time to see that I'm improving.

But this week, you just have to perform and get the best out of yourself for one week, and I feel like when I can put myself in that mindset, I tend to get a lot out of my game.

Q. When he won the FedExCup for the first time, Tommy Fleetwood was saying this week it was so exciting to see it when it arrived through the mail at his home when he got it through the post and he got to see it. What is it like, the FedExCup? Describe it, how it differs from other trophies and stuff.

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, I basically sent it straight to my home club in Oklahoma. We had a little party and had a lot of the members over there to take a look at it, drink out of it, and had some fun.

Yeah, it was just cool to share a pretty cool-looking trophy, it's pretty iconic, with a bunch of other people that are considered friends. Yeah, it's cool to share them with those people.

Q. Leading the field in putting. How big was it to hit some early ones just to get some confidence?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, it's nice. It definitely makes it a lot easier when you feel comfortable over the ball. I had a scramble for par a couple times, but overall I felt like I hit it consistently on the green and two-putted a bunch, and when I hit it somewhat close, I felt like I made the putt.

I definitely relied on my putter today, but at the same time, I felt like I played solid enough to shoot a decent score anyway. It's always nice when the putts start going in.

Q. 11 out of 14 fairways, how important was that, especially after the rain?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, it's huge. Some of those spots out there, the ball just goes straight out to the bottom. And with the moisture that's in there, it's -- I had a rail on a 56-degree two times there. On 6, the par-5, and on 14 I hit both in the right roughs. Hit two really hard 56-degrees that probably only went 80 yards. So it's pretty juicy.

Q. Anything you attribute the strong putting to today? Any changes you've made?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: I think just trying to keep it simple. I think this is -- even though the greens are different the last couple years, I do feel like this is a putting surface I have putted well on.

I just happen to feel really comfortable with my reads. I didn't second-guess myself a whole lot. When I was over the ball, it was just one look and go, and the ball started on line and tracked in the hole.

It was just kind of easy to keep that momentum going throughout the round.

Q. What have you been working on with Joe, and how did you come to that decision?

VIKTOR HOVLAND: It's kind of hard to make a lot of changes when you're right in the middle of the season or finishing up the season or in the playoffs. Right now you try to just find something, kind of Band-Aid fixes, at least for me in the position I've been, because I've been struggling a decent amount off the tee, not really liking where my technique has been.

Obviously it takes time to change that stuff. It's hard to do that in these weeks when the pressure is pretty high and you want to perform.

Yeah, just been trying to make a few good adjustments, but it's hard to do that right away out there on the golf course. I'll be looking forward to taking some time off this fall.
