Quick Quotes
Q. All right, joining us after the final round of the CPKC Women's Open is Anna Huang. Anna, just really, really strong week out there playing in front of your home country. Can you just describe the week?
ANNA HUANG: Yeah, just means so much to me to be back home, playing in front of home crowds. And just I had a lot of fun this week and I gained a lot valuable experience, so overall very happy.
Q. Yeah, you competed on the LPGA actually a few times this year. Just how does it feel to get reps out here against the best players in the world?
ANNA HUANG: Yeah, I think always like to make a cut at any LPGA event is really special. And then to play so well as I did this week at the Canadian Open is just really, really awesome I guess.
And, yeah, I'm really happy that I played well in front of the best in the world and hopefully I can continue doing that.
Q. A top 10 this week gets you into the field at FM next week in Boston. What does that mean to have another opportunity to tee it up?
ANNA HUANG: Yeah, it means so much to tee it up next week in Boston. I actually wanted to play that a couple week ago and I tried to get an invite, but I couldn't get through there, so I'm really glad I got top 10 here.
Q. Did you have to prove to yourself that you belong here or did you already know that coming in?
ANNA HUANG: I think it was a little bit of both, especially last year. I think I definitely was trying my best to put my name out there, but this year I think I had a lot more people know who I was and I just tried to play my own game and stick to each shot.
Q. Four-time winner and top-ten finisher; still got to go to Q-School. Kind of a drag there isn't an easier path to this Tour?
ANNA HUANG: No. The LPGA creates pathways for us players to play on the highest level, so I'm going to try my best and work harder to qualify.
Q. Getting a taste of it put really get the fire burning?
ANNA HUANG: Yeah.
Q. What are you going to take out of this tournament that you played to potentially Boston and future events? What can you take that's going to help you?
ANNA HUANG: I think the most important thing is simple golf is the best golf. Even if you think you're playing some really boring golf, it's always a good day because you're hitting fairways and greens.
So it's always something to look forward to.
Q. We saw your smiles on 17 today. How much fun was this tournament for you?
ANNA HUANG: Yeah, I really liked the crowd on 17 today. They were cheering really loud. Yeah, I had so much fun and I hope to be back next year.
Q. You and Aphrodite and Michelle and Clairey, the four of you all under the age of 18 made the cut here. So what is happening with, you know, maybe golf in -- Canadian women's golf in your age group?
ANNA HUANG: I think we're all just really inspired by how well Brooke has been playing and how the best in the world have been competing out there.
So I think we all took inspiration from them and try to work harder and play our best.
