Quick Quotes
Q. You came in right around the bubble knowing you needed a good finish. How rewarding is it and fulfilling is it then to get that?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, no, it's great. It's good to extend the season on the PGA TOUR an extra week. Satisfying round of golf today. It was absolutely beautiful. A bit disappointed with the bogey I made, but Mike just kept telling me, There's going to be plenty of chances the way you're playing. And the way I was shaping into some of the pins, hitting good distances. But, yeah, just to score the way I've scored in the time that I needed it.
Q. Take us through what happened last week. I know there was some reports maybe about some knee pain. Just kind of how your body was feeling and obviously the round that you played today.
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, I've got a Baker's cyst in the back of my right knee. I've got that, I mean, from playing shinty back home, to be honest. I didn't know what it was. And then I found out after -- I've been getting serious pain when I squat down to read a putt and stuff, and after a long day's practice session, and the way I've been playing lately I've been putting in long hours and just struggling to explode out of it and twist on it at the same time. And, yeah, I was just, it was time to try and rest up and get prepared for this week. Yeah, we done that and, to be honest, the boys on the truck, I mean, on, I think it was Thursday afternoon, it was like someone was stabbing me in the bottom of the hamstring. So the boys in the truck there have done a great job this week getting me feeling like I can play. So, yeah, can't thank them enough.
Q. How long had you been have you been feeling it?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, since about May. So it's not been, like this wasn't a surprise. It's been something I've been managing with strength conditioning stuff back home, just limiting kind of the squatting, the deep squats. So, yeah, it's been there. It's there right now when I squat down to read a putt. But at times you just got to kind of grin and bear it. And last week it was, I thought it was the right decision to pull out and try and recover and give it the best shot this week. Yeah, it's paid off.
Q. I heard you over there say your caddie telling you to be positive this week. Can you kind of take me through what his call for you was this week?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, I don't even know -- I've got psychologists back home, I don't know the psychologist he spoke to this week, in the past, and he works with Rosie, and he asked him a question he goes, What's your thoughts on manifestation? And I was like, What? What's that? And, yeah, he told us. And, look I was back in the house this week on my own, I was watching a positive sports movie every single night, just to try and make me believe in what I was trying to do and what I was doing was right. I suppose it worked. I guess next week I'm just going to have to probably re-watch the same ones because there's not many positive sports.
Q. Which ones did you do?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Is it Rudy? What other one? There was one with a kid with baseball that broke his arm, and then started throwing a hundred mile an hour at 12 year old.
Q. The Rookie, I think.
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, something like that. And, yeah there was other ones but I can't remember them, I just remember them two. So it was all about me being positive this week.
Q. It worked.
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, it worked. Thankfully.
