Q. I'm sure you were hoping to maybe win this, but you still make it to next week, keep the season a live. What's your over-riding emotion?

PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, I feel like I did a lot of really good things this week. I hit the ball really well. I hit a lot of quality shots, a lot of quality wedges. I'm coming to a golf course that I played really well at next week. So I'm really pleased with where my game's at and I think I'm trending in the right direction.

Q. How fulfilling is it just even, given how well you're playing, to just have another week to be able to keep going?

PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, it's great. Next week's a golf course that I think suits me really well. So I'm really happy to be going back.

Q. Why do you think it suits you?

PATRICK CANTLAY: I think you have to play from the fairway. The rough is really nasty, the long Bermuda rough is tough to control your golf ball. So you have to drive the ball well, with the way I'm swinging it should be a good matchup.

Q. Were you playing attention to leaderboards out there just to see where you were at both in the FedExCup and on the leaderboard?

PATRICK CANTLAY: I would see it from time to time. But I was just as focused as I could on the task at hand and, you know, really focused on executing my game plan.

Q. Is it a thing where Joe would pay attention and he would tell you if there was something important? Like, Hey, we need this or that, or is that not something you even do?

PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, I'm sure he would if we got down the stretch. It's not like I'm not, you know, aware, I'm just not overly focused on it.

Q. How crucial were the four bounce-back birdies today?

PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, they were, definitely. Especially the way I finished to birdie those last three holes, it's really nice momentum going into next week.

Q. Obviously you wanted to win, but did you feel like you made a statement as far as Presidents Cup?

PATRICK CANTLAY: I'm still focused on this year. I got another chance to win a golf tournament next week and I'll let all of the other stuff take care of itself.

Q. Wyndham, can you talk about what you've seen different in him in the last four, five months?

PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, obviously he played fantastic golf this week. He's been playing great golf basically since the Texas tournaments. So he'll be a good person to have if I do end up getting a pick for that Presidents Cup's team on the U.S. side.
