U.S. SENIOR WOMEN'S OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

August 22, 2026

Patricia Meunier-Lebouc

Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

Barton Hills Country Club

Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Here with Patricia Meunier-Lebouc. 4-under. You tied the low round of the week. What was the strongest part of your game today that allowed you to go out and go bogey-free?

PATRICIA MEUNIER-LEBOUC: This week in general my wedge game has been really, really good, so it helps because this golf course is -- the greens are so hard, so if you don't get close to the pin, it's really hard to make putts.

Today really a bogey-free round is amazing. I had a few really good saves from around the green. Yeah, I'm just very proud of myself because, you know, I don't play much golf anymore. I really got ready for this tournament with no expectations, and I think that's the best, always the best, mindset anyway and staying in the moment and playing every shot as it comes, and doing good so far.

THE MODERATOR: Bogey-free, already impressive, but there was a lengthy three-hour delay. How did you deal with that delay in the morning, and what hole were you on when that horn sounded?

PATRICIA MEUNIER-LEBOUC: We actually finished 9. I mean, Carin had not finished. She had to putt, but we were right at the clubhouse. We felt very lucky actually because we could stay and just not have to take the bus and come back.

So, you know, it was a long wait. I have to say it's tough on the focus because it's a lot of energy, you know, to be out here for so long. You know, we just chilled and talk with this big table, so we all get together and kind of talk about the old times and things like that. So makes time go faster, so it was okay.

I'm just very happy we didn't have to stop for a second time, so we're just happy to keep going and finish. It might come now, so we're the lucky ones, I think.

THE MODERATOR: Three birdies in a row before that turn before the delay. Any of those on 7, 8, and 9 that stick out to you, any long putts or chip-ins or anything like that?

PATRICIA MEUNIER-LEBOUC: No, 7 was really close. I mean, I was, like, maybe 4, maximum 5 feet. 8 was a pretty long one. So I didn't make that many long ones this week because my wedge game has been so good, so I could be 4, 5 feet and make them. So I made that long one here. It was probably 20 feet.

Then on 9 I had another 15 feet I think at least, so that was good.
