Quick Quotes
Q. How good did it feel and how important was it to birdie that last hole?
BROOKE HENDERSON: I feel it was very important, and it felt great. I really wanted it. I hit it really hard. Thought it hit the wall, but to see it go in was really nice.
The scores are very low out here today and the leaders especially, so just trying to go out tomorrow and make a bunch of birdies and try to catch them.
Q. It does seem like the rough can be unforgiving, which was maybe the case on 16.
BROOKE HENDERSON: Absolutely. Yeah, the rough is very thick. I think this course rewards great shots, and if you're hitting a lot of fairways and green you can go low. If you find the rough or you're not hitting it so well, it can really be penalizing as well.
So just trying to stick to the short stuff.
Q. And overall, how do you feel about your round today? You started off with a bogey and turned around with a bird.
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I feel like I was able to bounce back today. Every time I made a bogey I was able to bounce back with a birdie pretty quickly, which is important.
I'm happy with 3-under. Definitely going to need a little bit more tomorrow, but good start.
Q. I mean, I think you were asked about it, bugs not bothering you, Ontario girl.
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I think so. Everyone else is like swatting and I am a little bit, but I haven't been finding it very bad at all.
