Quick Quotes
Q. Final round here for the Sunday. What started clicking when you came into that final nine?
ALEX NOREN: I just said to myself on 10 tee box that it was almost good that I made a bogey on 9 because now I can't just kind of play like I did on the front nine. Then really proud that I stepped up and made those four birdies. It was very pleasing.
Q. What did you do well this week, or what are going to be the big takeaways?
ALEX NOREN: Big takeaways is that I kept to the same stuff, pretty much exactly the same stuff over and over again. Just did my normal stuff and just didn't do any changes, no extra stuff. Just kept doing the same stuff, and it was quite a trip, and the game got a little bit better every day. Just tried to almost enjoy the struggle in the heat as well.
Q. Now safely into the top 50 and in great position to make a push for the top 30. What does that mean for you in your career?
ALEX NOREN: It means a lot. I mean, I know the whole system is changing 2028, and I wanted to get into the top 50 this year. I played some good golf, but a little bit better now the last three tournaments.
I'm excited to play golf and to practice, and when you get a good result like this, it's a nice receipt that it's working.
Q. Obviously the mindset is always to come out and win a golf tournament, but when you're walking up 18 and you're faced with those patients, how does that make you feel knowing what this tournament means to the hospital?
ALEX NOREN: Yeah, I think seeing the guy, the little kid that walked out there, I think we've all got to help out even more if we can. It's very sad to see all the kids that struggle for -- it's very unfair. I'm glad that we can help in any way that we can.
I'm happy the tournament and FedEx put on this great event for charity and for us and for fans as well.
