Q. All right, here with Sophia Schubert after her third round at The Standard Portland Classic. Fantastic birdie on No. 18 to put you tied for the lead heading into Sunday. Take us through that hole.

SOPHIA SCHUBERT: Yeah, I mean, just we were kind of doing the same thing we were doing all day: staying patient, just trying to hit fairways and greens, not really thinking about it and not really trying to press; it just worked out. I mean, hit it close and had a straight putt up the hill.

Q. Obviously got to spend a little time on the Epson Tour last year; contended a bunch there. How much did that last year maybe kind of help you prep to be in this position?

SOPHIA SCHUBERT: Yeah, I love the Epson Tour. It's great. I loved playing out there. I think it was a great boost for my confidence. Competition is great and you get the sense of winning.

I didn't win last year but I came close, and so just being at the top and being in the final group I think is great preparation for being out here.

Q. Is there anything in particular that's clicking for you in your game this week?

SOPHIA SCHUBERT: My putting. That's what I've been waiting for all year honestly. I missed a lot of cuts by one and the reason being is my putting. So I'm hoping it'll keep going tomorrow.

Q. How important is that aspect of the game, especially a week like this where it's just a scoringfest?

SOPHIA SCHUBERT: Oh, yeah, it's so important. You got to make putts out there. You're not going to hit every green. If you do, that's great. But you got get up and down and you got to make birdies.

So that's key.

Q. And then just a few more: Great roar from the crowd on 18. How cool was it to hear that, and does it give you energy going into tomorrow?

SOPHIA SCHUBERT: It was awesome. The crowds were fantastic today, which we love to see. So, yeah, they were cheering for everybody and I think it's great momentum going forward.

I'm excited for tomorrow.

Q. Another round with Arpichaya tomorrow; this time hopefully for the win. Just talk about your excitement for tomorrow and what's it going to take to maybe get yourself over the top?

SOPHIA SCHUBERT: Yeah, I'm so excited. I can't wait to play with her again. We had a great day today. She's fun to play with. So I don't know what it's going to take, but I think for me personally, it's just going to take being patient and calm and try to put a smile on my face and have fun.
