Quick Quotes
Q. Got off to a great start today, 3-under through your first three holes. How important was it to build momentum through the first two rounds?
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: I think so. I think the front nine played maybe a touch easier, a little bit less troubles. I thought I was hitting it nice, hitting the fairways early on, and gave myself chances, which is obviously always key to do that.
Q. Started off good and finishing good after that tough stretch to begin the back nine, birdieing 16 and 17. How important is that just to end your round on a good note?
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Yeah, I think so. It was very positive. I thought overall I was hitting it much better than yesterday. I thought yesterday was a little bit scrappy and missing fairways and missing greens, but managed it quite well.
And then came out today hitting a lot of good shots and a lot of good -- iron play was good today. Overall pleased with that.
Q. What's going to be the key for you going into this weekend?
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: Stay in the AC as much as I can, I think will be good. Try to manage my energy. Try to make sure I get plenty of rest and plenty of fluids in me. Then hopefully keep doing what I've been doing today.
Q. Speaking of this weekend, you're chasing a guy like Scottie, what does that do for you mentally, and what is that dynamic like?
LUDVIG Ã…BERG: You know he's not going to let up. We almost expect him to play this way all the time, which is maybe a little bit unfair on him, but that's the way he's built this for himself.
Yeah, obviously he's a remarkable player, and what he's done the last couple years is nothing short of spectacular. But if I can focus on myself over the weekend and see what I can do, I think that's all in my power.
