Q. Walk me through your match. What was working out there?

LOGAN REILLY: Yeah, honestly, I was just kind of firing on all cylinders today. I didn't really make any mistakes. Kept the ball in front of me, hit a lot of great iron and wedge shots and made a couple putts for birdie. Didn't make a bogey, which always helps in match play. I just kept my foot on the gas and never looked back.

Q. The other day we talked about how excited you get when you have audiences like this. Playing against the hometown kid, what was it like, the atmosphere?

LOGAN REILLY: It was good. It was fun, that's for sure. I actually really enjoyed it. I loved how many people there were out there. Just gave me a little extra motivation, honestly. Thank God I got a couple of my friends that came out, so they were trying to get loud.

But yeah, it was great. Unbelievable atmosphere.

Q. When was the last time you feel like you played this complete?

LOGAN REILLY: I'd say this whole summer I've been playing pretty solid, and I've been hitting it really well. Just kind of all depends on if I'm making putts or not.

I feel like today I was making those putts that were needed, a couple 15-, a couple 20-footers, and then the short ones were all going in. I felt like everything was dialed in today. I feel like everything has been trending in the right direction. Yeah, ever since the start of the summer.

Q. Is there a story from when you played other sports where you went into an opposing gym that was really hostile and you shot them up?

LOGAN REILLY: There was one. My high school played PVI, Paul the Sixth, which is one of the top basketball schools, and it was my freshman year, I was playing JV, and it was right before the varsity game. So the whole student section was in there. Their varsity team was like top 5 in the country. We went into overtime with them and won, which was pretty sick. That was probably the closest thing I have to it.

Q. How did you play? Did you hit the game winner?

LOGAN REILLY: I remember I had about 20 points or something, so I played pretty good.

Q. Were those high school buddies, college buddies that were out there?

LOGAN REILLY: A bunch of my high school friends and then a bunch of people I play golf with from back home, and then a couple of my dad's friends who live up here came out.

Q. Not to look too far ahead, but being an American, if you were to advance tomorrow you'd get spots in the U.S. Open and the Masters. I'm sure those are tournaments that you've thought about a lot, probably watched a lot too. What would it mean to you to win tomorrow and get spots of both of those events?

LOGAN REILLY: Yeah, that would be crazy to be playing in that next year. I've just got to play my game, see what happens. Not really worry too much about that. If it happens, great. If it doesn't, then I'll try it again next year. Yeah, that would be unreal. I bet the Masters would be probably the best week of my life for sure. Yeah, that would be a dream come true.

Q. You mentioned that you're clicking on all cylinders. I'm kind of curious from your mindset, what's that like when you're standing over a shot? How free does your mind feel when you've been playing as well as you have this week?

LOGAN REILLY: Yeah, it feels great. Especially with my wedges and my iron shots. If I'm in the fairway, I feel like I can attack, which is a great feeling. Never really scared of a shot from the fairway. Yeah, my focus is getting the ball in the fairway and then I know I can attack from there since I'm hitting it well and see what happens.

Q. Have you always been a fast player, and is there any particular thing you credit that to?

LOGAN REILLY: I've always been a fast player, yeah. Sometimes people say I was too fast. But I didn't really listen to them. I kind of do all my stuff as I'm walking up to the ball or right when I get to it or my opponent is hitting.

I think if you think too much about it, I think too many thoughts going through your head, and you're kind of just frozen. I like to kind of keep it going and keep a good flow.
