PORTLAND CLASSIC

August 14, 2026

Jeeno Thitikul

Portland, Oregon, USA

Columbia Edgewater Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Jeeno after her second round here at The Standard Portland Classic. Bogey-free round from you today. A lot more birdies on the scorecard again for you today. What is it about this course that is so scorable for you?

JEENO THITIKUL: I don't think it's just scorable for me, but it's scorable for everyone, I mean, because we got some of the par-5 that reachable.

And then I don't think it's a long, long course. I mean, you got a lot of wedges into the pin which is a lot more easier than you got a longer irons.

Yeah, I think it is.

Q. We've seen a lot of success from Thai players at this course. Chanettee has won; Arpichaya is playing very well; you're playing very well. Is there something about this course that's unique to Thai golf?

JEENO THITIKUL: I think it's just not like unique, unique, but, I mean, like I said, like the course isn't that long so I think like we are not that tall. I mean, we are pretty standard size, so I think this course should suit everyone that's not hit that long but had a really good short games.

Q. And then just got a little bit on a roll on the front nine. You talked about it as well, taking advantage of the par-5s. How important is that to the overall success for this week?

JEENO THITIKUL: I mean, if you count on the par-5 we got four holes, and then if you got to like, you know, at least like two out of four which is you're like 2-under automatically, but like if I can reach to 4-under which is more bonus, right?

Then the rest you just go up and down, up and down, on three of par-4. So I feel like the par-5 is a chance for you to be able to make it lower and lower, because golf depends on the momentum as well. As you get the birdies you feel like, wow, you're trying to go low again.

Q. And last one: With a course that's so scorable, what's it going to take to catch Arpichaya and hopefully pass her and get another win this season?

JEENO THITIKUL: Birdies. I mean, of course birdies. Whatever you are on the top of the leaderboard, you definitely knew that you have to make birdies anyway no matter where you are.

I mean, like even you're the leader you still had to make a birdie to not, you know, like don't come kind of low to everyone can catch you up.
