Quick Quotes
Q. You fought back, but it wasn't enough. Talk to me about it.
RYDER COWAN: Yeah, it sucks. I mean, Logan played pretty good all day. I wasn't hitting my driver very good today, and I couldn't put as much pressure on him as I needed to, playing from the rough, playing from bunkers.
Looking back, I feel like if I could have hit my driver a little better, I would have been a lot better.
Q. You touched on it, on the front nine especially, you struggled to hit -- was it a feel? Was it your swing?
RYDER COWAN: No, I don't know. I felt like I was hitting it fine, and then some were just overcutting, which is fine, but I don't know, I just couldn't get it dialed.
Q. What's that say about you, though, and your fight that you were able to claw back twice from 2- and 3-down?
RYDER COWAN: Yeah, I mean, I feel like my stuff -- I always have fight, and I'm proud of that. I'm especially proud of that today because I was down a lot. I was down early, clawed back. I was down late, clawed back.
But yeah, I feel like I have a lot of fight in me, no matter what's going on.
But I don't know, I'm proud of how I fought today.
Q. It's been quite the summer with the USGA, low amateur at Shinnecock and now a deep run here. What can you take from these experiences and take into your college season at Oklahoma?
RYDER COWAN: Yeah, there's a lot to take in and to learn from. I'm very lucky and I'm thankful that I have gotten to experience all these -- be in this situation for all these experiences.
But I feel like what I'm going to take most from these is just being thankful for being out here. Not everyone gets to play out here in front of a lot of fans and a lot of people. Just to be thankful for what's going on and take that with me wherever I go because it could always be worse. I feel like that's something that I take from it.
