Frontstretch Quotes

An Interview with:

Q. What a 2026 it's been, most top 5s, most top 10s, most stage wins, and now two victories and he's going to celebrate with his crew. His team survived a lot today, including his teammate Christopher Bell tracking him down. How did you keep your composure with Bell gaining on you every lap it seemed like?

TY GIBBS: Yeah, I just had to keep my head down, gel up and stay with it. I appreciate my team, Tony Hirschman, all glory to Jesus Christ.

Q. I want to ask you about Tyler Allen's two-tire call, and you and I have had so many conversations this year about how this team has gelled. What's really spurred that on in 2026?

TY GIBBS: Just people that want to support each other. We made a big step from last year, obviously, and I really appreciate it. But I really appreciate all my teammates too. I wouldn't be here without all my teammates as well, week in and week out, just help keep developing the program. And obviously we're all up front for a reason. I really appreciate Denny and Chase and Christopher for all their help, obviously.

Q. You had to work for it today because you had the problem on pit road early on. You went back to 28th. At that moment when that happened, Ty, you were running fourth. What did you say to yourself?

TY GIBBS: Let's lock in, hammer down.
